A Dallas police officer and two other people were shot during a disturbance call. It happened in the 4300 block of Woodhollow Drive in Dallas at about 8:40 Monday night.

“Officers got to the apartment went inside and we had one person saying that he has a gun inside of the bathroom,” Police Chief Daniel Comeaux said. “At that time, we heard a female yell from inside the bathroom. He has a gun. He has a gun.”

Comeaux said officers went into the bathroom and that’s when several shots were fired. Two people at the apartment were shot.

“Both were transported to the hospital. One of them is in surgery. The other one’s in stable condition. The officer also took a round to his vest,” Comeaux said.

Comeaux said the officer is in good condition and he was headed to the hospital just after the shooting.

He said two officers fired their weapons and there were approximately 10 people inside the apartment at the time of the shooting.

Right now, Comeaux said it appears the two people in the apartment unit were related.

He said the investigation is ongoing.
