SAPD: Man in critically hurt after shooting on West Side

Police pursuit, flashing lights and sirens.

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is investigating a shooting on the West Side that has left a young man in critically hurt.

Officers were called to the 3000 block of West Salinas Street before 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, and upon arrival they say they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was rushed to University Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Investigators are only saying the victim is in his upper teens or mid 20s, and there is no word on the motive for the shooting.

There were no details given on a possible suspect.
