While the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks face off in Super Bowl LX, several players on both rosters will represent the Texas Longhorns.

At least four former Texas players will play in the Super Bowl, continuing a long tradition of Longhorns reaching the NFL’s biggest stage.

Texas players have made a combined 82 Super Bowl appearances heading into Super Bowl LX, a total that includes players on injured reserve or practice squads. Last season, Kansas City’s Charles Omenihu and Xavier Worthy faced off against Philadelphia’s Moro Ojomo, ensuring at least one former Longhorn earned a Super Bowl ring.

Here’s a look at the Texas Longhorns players involved in Super Bowl LX.

Murphy was the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2023, helping lead Texas to the College Football Playoff for the first time. He finished his three-year Longhorns career with 70 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and eight sacks.

A first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Murphy has broken out in 2025 with 62 tackles and seven sacks. He was selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the 16th overall pick.

Diggs played four seasons at Texas from 2011 to 2014, appearing in 52 games and starting 49 as a cornerback.

He was a three-time All-Big 12 selection and earned Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year honors in 2011. Diggs was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

After spending his first two NFL seasons at cornerback, Diggs transitioned to safety. He was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in 2019, where he played four and a half seasons before being released in 2024. Seattle later brought Diggs back in November, signing him to the practice squad.

Schooler played two seasons at Texas after transferring from Oregon, where he played both safety and wide receiver.

After going undrafted, Schooler signed with the New England Patriots in May 2022. On Oct. 11, 2024, he and the Patriots agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $9 million.

Dickson spent three seasons as Texas’ punter before declaring for the NFL draft after his junior year. He finished his Longhorns career as the program’s all-time leader in punting average at 45.32 yards per punt and set school records with 226 punts for 10,242 yards.

Dickson was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Super Bowl LX will be played Sunday, Feb. 8.
