It’s a busy day in the weather center after tracking a tornado warning in Liberty Country that has now expired. We’ll continue to track a line of thunderstorms into the Houston area for your ride home from work into the evening.

We’ll continue to track rain and thunderstorms for areas north of I-10.

By 8 tonight, we’ll watch areas near I-10 including Katy, Jersey Village all the way east to Liberty.

9 tonight: We’ll watch for thunderstorms to develop near I-10 and south of I-10.

After the Front: We’ll notice a drop in temperatures, but it won’t be as dramatic as we’ve seen the past couple of weekends. Our highs will go from the 70s back to the 60s for a few days. However, a high-pressure system will have us back in the 70+s by Friday.

The cold front arrives Tuesday cooling temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures are forecast to warm back up too, with highs approaching the 70s just in time for Super Bowl Sunday.
