Kaneland remained perfect on the season and several area teams picked up convincing victories Tuesday in a busy night of high school varsity boys basketball action.

The Knights improved to 24-0 overall with an 82-54 win over Rochelle. Marshawn Cocroft led Kaneland with 20 points, while Evan Frieders followed with 19. Connor Kimme added 14 points as the Knights continued their undefeated run.

Oswego East earned a 64-52 victory over Plainfield South behind a balanced scoring effort. Marc Sanchez-Giron led the Wolves with 14 points, Mason Lockett scored 12, and Dshaun Bolden added 11 in the win.

Plano picked up a 56-44 victory over Marengo as Ethan Taxis poured in 21 points to lead the Reapers. Kevin Martinez contributed 14 points in the win.

Yorkville cruised to a 56-21 win over Plainfield Central. Graham Martinson led the Foxes with 14 points, followed by Joey Jakstys with nine and Alonn Flint with eight.

Oswego rounded out the night with a 57-37 victory over Joliet Central. Ethan Vahl scored 17 points to lead the Panthers, while Graham Schwab added 11. Brayden Borrowman and Mariano Velasco each scored six points in the win, and MJ Johnson contributed with eight rebounds and five steals.

The wins highlighted a strong night across the area as teams continued to build momentum heading deeper into the boys basketball season.
