Chicken wings are a popular staple for Super Bowl game day gatherings.
They’re typically not expensive and work well as an appetizer with other popular snacks like guacamole or nachos, or can be the main dish with a couple of different sauces. Among the most common sauces are barbecue, buffalo and lemon pepper.
Whether you like flats or drumsticks, there’s usually a favorite place you flock to before the big day.
After getting our fill of wings for a few days, these are our recommendations for the best wings in El Paso. They don’t even need ranch dressing, so try them out if you haven’t.
Track One
As a born-and-bred El Pasoan, I would be remiss not to start with Track One. Most wing lovers will attest that Track One is the place to get your fill of tasty, meaty wings.
Fans of chicken drums and flats love to dig their hands into the double-dip honey wings at Track One. One bite of the chicken with its sweet, sticky, thick glaze, and you’re hooked. If you would rather have some heat, pair them with the Buffalo-hot wings, which have a rich, tangy, spicy flavor.

Track One’s Double Dip wings are among the most popular wing choices at the restaurant. They expect to sell 200 or more orders of wings for Super Bowl 60.
My preference is to alternate between the sweet and the tangy spicy ones. Other popular flavors include lemon pepper, barbecue, and sweet fire.
Gearing up for the big day, Track One restaurant is expected to sell about 200 orders or more of chicken wings this week. Wing fans are encouraged to place their orders by Saturday, Feb. 7. The restaurant will have a tent for easy ordering and its food truck to help keep up with cooking. To go orders: 915-771-9502.
Undisputed Craft House
A few miles away, Undisputed Craft House, at 1881 Saul Kleinfeld, has a great, out-of-the-box sauce menu that is delicious. Think peach habanero or blueberry chipotle sauces.

Undisputed Craft House, Undisputed Craft House, at 1881 Saul Kleinfeld Drive, has creative and delicious sauces. Our favorites are the Watermelon and Tajin, and the Sweet & Tangy BBQ with plenty of thick sauce.
Of course, I had to try several, and my favorite was the Watermelon Tajin. Each bite was a combination of the sweetness of the watermelon and the spicy saltiness of Tajin. Just a fun flavor profile in your mouth.
Another favorite is the Cherry Jalapeno, which also combines sweetness with a kick of heat. Bone-in wings are 20 pieces for $27, plus tax, with a choice of two sauces.
Monster Wings
Monster Wings, at 3012 Lee Trevino Drive Ste 300 AB, has been making outstanding wings for about a year and half.
Monster Wings knows how to play with the Scoville scale of spiciness, offering a range from the non-hot garlic parmesan and lemon pepper to the mid-range BBQ Hot and up to the Habanero style.

Like some heat? Try the Buffalo Hot wings at Monster Wings, at N. Lee Trevino. They are covered in spicy but delicious sauce. Ask for extra napkins.
Being a fan of spiciness, I have to push the Buffalo Hot wings. These meaty wings start deceivingly mild, with the heat building with every bite. Second wing in, and the sinuses are cleared, my friend. What can I say, I love a good chili challenge.
If you want to cool your tongue a bit, make sure to order a half order of another wing, notably the buffalo or the lemon pepper, two solid choices. A 30-pack of bone-in wings costs $31.99 plus tax. On Super Bowl Sunday, they are running a special: 25 wings for $20.
La Bang Bang
Another popular place for wings (and pizza by the way) is La Bang Bang, at 414 E. San Antonio Ave., in Downtown El Paso.

La Bang Bang, at 414 E San Antonio Ave., is popular for its wings (and Detroit style pizzas). Among our favorites are the Orange Pepper, for a zesty flavor, and the Mike’s Honey Hot for a wing with a slight edge.
There are 10 wing sauces on the menu, including Orange Pepper, spicy orange pepper, lemon pepper, garlic parmesan, spicy garlic parmesan, white BBQ, Mike’s Hot Honey, Buffalo Hot, and La Llorona.
From our order, the Orange Pepper and Mike’s Hot Honey, I can tell you the wings are super juicy and mouth watering. We asked for some extra crunch and they met the challenge.
The Orange Pepper is a refreshing choice with a zesty flavor profile accented by peppery flakes and Mike’s Hot Honey, which was not super-hot but added some oomph to the palate.
The 12-piece platter (two sauces) costs $16.99 plus tax. The orders are already coming in for Super Bowl Sunday, so don’t delay ordering yours.
Shack Wings & Brews
There are several Shack Wings locations, but we tend to visit the one near us in Horizon City, 13460 Eastlake Blvd. Suite A.
If you like trying something other than buffalo and lemon pepper, Shack Wings is the one to go to. They have at least 20 different sauces and variations of your favorites. Among the most unique varieties are the mango spice, Korean barbecue and Rajin’ Cajun wings.

The Shack Wings & Brews in Horizon City serves tasty chicken wings with a variety of available sauces including the spicy lemon pepper. The chain will be selling trays of 50 wings available for order by Saturday, Feb. 7.
Our go-to wings are the mild wings for a hint of spice, complemented by the tangy, spicy lemon pepper wings. The bone-in wings are .79 each on Tuesdays, and the boneless wings are the same price on Thursdays.
For Super Bowl Sunday, you can order 50 chicken wings, two fries, large ranch and veggies for $75.99. Pre-order by Saturday, Feb. 7.
