AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police are asking for the public’s assistance in a hit-and-run incident that left two people injured on December 25, 2025.
The collision occurred at approximately 9:44 p.m. near the intersection of N. Lamar Blvd and W. Rundberg Lane, according to a press release from the Austin Police Department (APD) Highway Enforcement Unit. A motorcycle carrying a driver and passenger was struck by an unknown black sedan traveling eastbound through the intersection. The driver of the sedan fled the scene immediately after the crash.
Both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, stated the source.
The suspect vehicle is described as a black Chrysler 200 four-door sedan. Anyone with information is encouraged to submit a tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
