AUSTIN, Texas — A FedEx delivery driver was injured in a hit-and-run incident involving a black Chevrolet Tahoe on Thursday evening, according to Austin Police.

The collision occurred at 6:32 p.m. in the 6800 block of McNeil Road. The driver had stopped his delivery truck in the center lane to make a delivery and was struck by the vehicle as he exited from the front passenger door. The suspect vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render aid, police said. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to submit tips anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
