Texas A&M basketball suffered another close SEC road contest against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Wednesday night at Coleman Coliseum.

The Aggies battled back and forth with the Tide for most of the game, but a late 6-2 run from Nate Oats’ squad led to a 100-97 victory over Bucky McMillan’s unit in T-Town. With the loss, Texas A&M drops to 17-5 and 7-2 in SEC play, but there are still many opportunities ahead of the Aggies to make a statement entering the postseason.

That includes a massive showdown against the Florida Gators at Reed Arena on Saturday. Florida currently ranks No. 17 in the country, while Texas A&M continues to chase a top-25 ranking and a spot in March Madness. A victory against the Gators in College Station could be the perfect momentum to get the Maroon and White back on track and keep hold of the top spot in the conference standings entering next week.

While fouls and being out-rebounded sparked many issues at the end of the second half against the Crimson Tide, McMillan will look to clean that up and lead his team to what could be a massive Quad 1 win on Saturday night.
