National signing day is officially over and it seems the Texas football has done well for itself.

After a 10-3 finish was capped by a 41-27 win over Michigan in the Citrus Bowl, Texas signed about two dozen players to its 2026 recruiting class and at least 13 from the transfer portal. The Longhorns added defensive tackle Elijah Ali on Wednesday to give the class 24 additions.

Highlighted by the signings of quarterback Dia Bell and five-star athlete Jermaine Bishop, the Longhorns officially have a top-10 recruiting class according to most ranking services. The USC Trojans have the top spot over the Longhorns in both ESPN’s and 247Sports’ rankings. Texas also hit the transfer portal hard in the offseason and signed many offensive weapons to compliment quarterback Arch Manning, including highly sought after former Auburn wide receiver Cam Coleman.

But where do the Longhorns rank since NSD is over? Here is where the recruiting class is ranked by ESPN and 247 Sports:

ESPN‘s Craig Haubert has the Longhorns’ recruiting class ranked third for the second straight year. USC is at the top of his rankings, followed by Oregon. Alabama is the only other SEC school in the top five, ranking fifth behind Notre Dame.

Bell is the top offensive recruit for UT and Haubert called his signing to Texas a “build for the future” since he will be Manning’s backup. Defensive end Richard Wesley is the top recruit on that side of the ball and he was also eighth on the ESPN SC Next list.

Haubert called Wesley’s signing “a big add as he is explosive and powerful and could be a versatile and impactful presence in the trenches” after Texas struggled a bit on defense this season.

With three five-star recruits, 13 four-star recruits and eight three-star recruits, the Longhorns are seventh in 247Sports’ recruiting rankings for 2026.

There are five SEC schools, including Texas, ranked in the top 10. Alabama and Georgia were the only SEC schools ahead of the Longhorns.
