A couple of famous faces stopped by Billy Bob’s Texas recently for some line dancing lessons.

No, George Strait and Garth Brooks didn’t return to the “World’s Largest Honky Tonk.” Instead, Elmo and Grover from “Sesame Street” sashayed over to the Fort Worth Stockyards venue.

“Sesame Street” has been traveling across the country on its “Road Trip Across America” since the summer and will continue through the fall. Each stop is at family-friendly events like festivals or baseball games.

The puppet troupe already stopped in North Texas at a Texas Rangers game in early May, and returned to the region in early October for a visit to the State Fair of Texas and Billy Bob’s. Here’s what to know.

‘Sesame Street’ line dances at Billy Bob’s Texas

In an Instagram video, Elmo and Grover are seen in Western wear speaking to Billy Bob’s line dance instructor Rhonda Autry.

Autry asks if the duo are ready to learn, and soon after they’re moving and shaking across the dance floor. Elmo asks the whereabouts of Cookie Monster, seen also dressed like a cowboy, who said he’s got his own thing going on.

“Me dancing down the line of cookies,” Cookie Monster says as he chows down on a spread of chocolate chip treats.

A spokesperson for Billy Bob’s said the “Sesame Street” crew visited on Oct. 7.

Both the Billy Bob’s and State Fair of Texas videos featuring “Sesame Street” were shot by 613 Media, which is based in Fort Worth.
