Flour Bluff ISD says it is aware of a student-led walkout at the high school and says activities outside the instructional day are not permitted on campus.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Flour Bluff Independent School District officials said they are aware that a group of students participated in a student-led walkout at Flour Bluff High School, according to a statement released Thursday.

In the statement, Principal Amy Seeds said activities that are not part of the planned instructional day are not permitted on school property.

Seeds said Flour Bluff ISD will continue to follow guidance from the Texas Education Agency related to student walkouts and attendance and will ensure that educator and district actions align with state law and board policy.

Seeds said the District’s primary mission remains providing a safe, supportive learning environment focused on education, growth, and opportunity for every student.

She also thanked students, staff, and families for their cooperation as the District continues to keep education at the center of its work, according to the statement.
