A park in north Fort Worth will lose a small portion of its space due to the Trinity River Authority of Texas relocating a water meter.
What’s happening?
Fort Worth officials granted a permanent easement for wastewater, electric and access at Chadwick Farms Park during the Jan. 27 council meeting.
The total easement totals 6,126 square feet located near the entrance of the park, according to city documents.
Chadwick Farms Park is located at 15700 Cleveland Gibbs Road, near Northlake. The current wastewater meter is on the Premier Christian Academy property, north of the park. Trinity River Authority’s preferred location is south of the park parking lot. No trees would be removed for the project, according to the city documents.
What’s next
The project is expected to start in April and last for four months. The disturbed areas would be repaired with sod, according to city documents.
The park will remain open while the easement is installed.
