EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A wrong-way crash on I-10 West on Sunday morning has left a driver hospitalized, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, on Feb 1, at approximately 7:45 a.m., deputies witnessed a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 West near Mile Marker 35.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that a silver passenger vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes, leading to a collision with a passenger truck.

The crash has led the driver of the silver vehicle to be hospitalized, the sheriff’s office said on Monday.

While no further details are available at this time, police said the investigation is ongoing.
