On Tuesday, a 15-year-old was arrested after allegedly stealing a car in Custer County and then driving about 80 miles to Colorado Springs for a carjacking spree. The juvenile allegedly attempted to carjack at least four vehicles with a handgun, and at one point, fired the gun at a mother with three children to steal her vehicle. The juvenile faces at least 15 felony charges.

On Wednesday, a man called CSPD after seeing two people “casing” a business, preparing for a robbery. The suspects saw the witness and fled the scene in separate vehicles, but the man followed the suspects until one fired several rounds into his vehicle, with one bullet casing striking the victim’s hat. Two juveniles were arrested in connection with the crime on Thursday, and one of their vehicles is tied to a smash-and-grab with a business with a federal firearms license.

Also on Wednesday, police responded to a domestic disturbance in which a suspect had barricaded himself in a house. When police approached the suspect with K-9 Roam, the suspect stabbed Roam several times. Roam was transported to an emergency veterinarian to treat his injuries, and had his back leg amputated. Roam has since been released from the hospital and is on the road to recovery.

On Friday, a two-hour shelter-in-place order was issued for the area surrounding the 4300 block of Montebello Drive after 31-year-old Sean Ciranni allegedly fired around 21 rounds in his apartment. Police say several weapons were seized while executing a search warrant for Ciranni’s residence, and nobody was injured during the incident.

Also on Friday, two juveniles were allegedly shoplifting from a business in the 1800 block of South Nevada Avenue, and when an employee confronted them, one of the juveniles stabbed and the other assaulted the employee.
