A San Antonio chain is expanding its fleet of stores with a new location headed to a rapidly expanding part of the city. A new construction filing indicates that Culebra Meat Market is heading far west on Culebra Road with a new store planned near State Highway 211.

A project details page registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) showed that Culebra Meat Market is working on opening one of its stores at 15245 Culebra Road, placing it next to a Tink-A-Tako. The project is estimated to cost $2.5 million, with construction set to run between April 1, 2026, and April 1, 2028, according to the filing. However, details listed on TDLR project pages are subject to change without notice.

The new Culebra Meat Market is expected to span approximately 12,772 square feet, and it already has a sign up to indicate that the business is coming soon, as seen from Google Maps image captures from November 2025. The incoming store will be a short way from the H-E-B at 15489 Culebra Road, which had its own debut in January 2026.

Culebra Meat Market was first founded by its original owner, Ezequiel Ramirez, in 1983. It has since grown to more than a dozen stores across San Antonio, including locations on South Flores Street, Rigsby Avenue, Guadalupe Street and Blanco Road. MySA reached out to Culebra Meat Market to find out more, and we will update this story when we hear back.
