The Dallas Open main draw is set.
Top players for the ATP 500 tennis tournament include top-ranked Americans Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton and some notable international players like Casper Ruud, Grigor Dimitrov and former U.S. Open champion Marin Čilić.
The Saturday afternoon draw determined first-round matchups for the 32-player event ahead of main draw play, which begins Monday at the Star in Frisco.
Top-seed Taylor Fritz will open the tournament against former Dallas Open finalist Marcos Giron, who lost the 2024 final to Tommy Paul. Other notable first-round matches include Čilić taking on sixth-seeded American Learner Tien and No. 2-seed Shelton against the talented Canadian Gabriel Diallo. Defending Dallas Open champion Denis Shapovalov enters this year’s edition as the No. 7 seed and will face a qualifier in the first round.

Beyond the seeds, some players with local connections also stand out from the draw. SMU junior Trevor Svajda is in the draw as a wild card and set to play fellow American Ethan Quinn. Former Texas Longhorn Eliot Spizzirri will take on Australian James Duckworth in Dallas after a big performance at the Australian Open where he pushed world No. 2 Jannik Sinner to the brink in the third round.
