AUSTIN, Texas — Austin’s beloved Día de los Muertos celebration is growing.

This year, Waterloo Greenway will host a two-day community festival on November 1 and 2, filling Waterloo Park with color, culture, and remembrance from 6 to 10 p.m. each night.
The free event welcomes the public to honor loved ones through a vibrant mix of art, music, and tradition.
Guests will enter through a glowing Bridge of Life, a marigold-lined walkway symbolizing the connection between the living and the departed.

On the Moody Amphitheater stage, Teoxochitl Design will create a large community ofrenda, inviting visitors to leave photos and mementos for those they wish to remember.

A special alebrijes altar, dedicated to departed pets, will also be on display.
The weekend lineup includes live music, folkloric dance, face painting, family art activities, and a bustling Mercado y Más marketplace featuring local Latinx artisans.

Visitors can also enjoy food and drinks from Austin favorites serving cocktails, mocktails, and traditional bites.
