Austin-based theater chain Alamo Drafthouse has announced the closing of several theaters in Texas, including its last in the Houston area.
In a notice on the company’s website, it has confirmed that franchise partner Triple Tap Ventures – which operates four locations in Texas – would no longer operate the theaters under the Alamo Drafthouse brand. Among the closures was the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema La Centerra in Katy, according to the notice. Alamo Drafthouses in El Paso and Lubbock also closed.
