The Sunday evening officer-involved shooting is the second such reported incident involving Dallas police in less than a week.

Police were called to an apartment complex in the Redbird area of southern Dallas on Feb. 3 after receiving reports of an armed man inside an apartment’s bathroom with a woman.

In that incident, the suspect was shot by police and critically injured while the woman suffered a non-life-threatening injury, police said at the time.
