WAIMEA, Hawaii — The No. 16 Texas Tech men’s golf team finished fourth in a loaded 20-team field at the Amer Ari Invitational on Saturday, highlighted by junior Tim Wiedemeyer’s career-low, final-round 8-under 64 at Mauna Lani’s North Course.

The Red Raiders posted a tournament-best 22-under 266 in the final round to finish at 57-under 807 for the 54-hole event. The score was the second-lowest round of the day, trailing only No. 5 Auburn’s 30-under 258. The Tigers won the tournament with a 77-under total.

Along with Wiedemeyer’s 64, Adam Bresnu and Connor Graham each shot 5-under 67, while Ben Gregg added a 4-under 68 as Texas Tech’s counting scores.

Wiedemeyer’s round was bogey-free and featured eight birdies. Bresnu, meanwhile, was Texas Tech’s wire-to-wire leader and finished tied for fifth in the 122-player field.

The finish marked Bresnu’s third top-five result in five events as a Red Raider since transferring from Odessa College. He closed at 17-under 199 with rounds of 65, 67, and 67, a season best. His 54-hole total was one stroke shy of his collegiate career-best 18-under 198 at the ENMU-Ruidoso High Country Shootout in the fall of 2024 while with the Wranglers.

Graham and Wiedemeyer tied for 14th at 14-under 202, while Gregg finished tied for 24th at 12-under 204—all three recorded career-low 54-hole totals.

Texas Tech returns to action Feb. 16 at The Prestige, held at PGA WEST’s Greg Norman Course in California’s Coachella Valley.
