The Austin Fire Department put out the fire early Monday morning on West Oltorf Street.
AUSTIN, Texas — Crews responded to a fire early Monday morning at an empty commercial building in South Austin.Â
According to the Austin Fire Department (AFD), responders arrived sometime after 3:10 a.m. to the fire at 510 W. Oltorf St., not far from Durwood Street and South 1st Street.Â
Once on scene, crews said the fire was seen through the roof of the building, but has since been put under control. The AFD is now searching for hotspots.Â
The cause of the fire is unknown as arson investigators were called to the scene early Monday. No injuries have been reported.Â
Drivers are asked to avoid the area, which is currently blocked off between Durwood Street and South 1st Street.Â
