Austin, TX — Looking for a Valentine’s Day gift that gives back? A Central Texas nonprofit is raffling off two roundtrip Southwest Airlines tickets, with proceeds going toward helping hundreds of local families this holiday season.
“Giving Christmas Spirit” is a local nonprofit that helps families in need create a warm, joyful holiday at home. Each year, the organization provides Christmas trees, decorations, lights, books, stuffed animals, and gifts to families who might otherwise go without.
Founder Melissa Frederick says planning is already underway for this year’s big giveaway on December 5, and the goal is to double their impact, serving more than 500 families across Central Texas. This year, Giving Christmas is also partnering with “Blessed by Bikers”, who will provide toys and presents for children.
To help fund the effort, the nonprofit is hosting a Valentine’s Day raffle featuring two roundtrip Southwest Airlines tickets for domestic travel. Raffle tickets are $10 each, or three for $25, and the winner will be announced Valentine’s Day at noon.
Beyond the raffle, Giving Christmas is also seeking monetary donations, storage-unit assistance, and donations of new or gently used Christmas décor to support the growing program.
