Oklahoma City-based Expand Energy moving headquarters to Houston

Expand Energy, which used to be Chesapeake Energy, announced plans to relocate its corporate headquarters from Oklahoma City to Houston in mid-2026. In a news release Monday, Expand Energy said the relocation “will strengthen Expand Energy’s relationships with key industry and commercial partners in support of the Company’s long-term growth objectives.” Although the energy company is moving its headquarters out of the Sooner State, officials said Oklahoma City will remain an “important center of excellence for Expand Energy’s business and operations.” The news release also states that Expand Energy is committed to supporting its Oklahoma City employees and the local community. Dell’Osso Jr. also has stepped down as director of the board and will serve as an external advisor for a period of time.
