AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announced Monday it is delaying the planned closure of the northbound Interstate 35 frontage road near Lady Bird Lake.
The closure, originally set to begin Feb. 9, is now scheduled for Monday, Feb. 16. During the work, northbound traffic will use a new bypass lane and traffic across from the Lady Bird Lake bridge will be reduced to one lane, officials said.
TxDOT said the delay is due to crews not yet finishing the south-to-north U-turn needed before the closure can begin.
