KYLE, Texas — A man from Llano County was arrested and booked into the Hays County jail for his involvement in a 2024 crash in Kyle that left one man dead.
Jail records say 43-year-old David Mann from Tow, Texas was booked into the Hays County jail on Tuesday and charged with criminal negligent homicide for his role in the deadly crash.
On June 6, 2024, police responded to a major crash on southbound I-35 in Kyle.

Kyle police say that three vehicles were involved in the collision; the initial investigation showed that a gray GMC Yukon driven by Mann rear-ended a black Nissan driven by 52-year-old Timothy Wray. Police say those two cars then hit a Toyota pickup truck driven by 33-year-old Matthew Dalsing.
Mann and Wray were both taken to the hospital with injuries; police say that Wray succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office says that the investigators presented their findings to the Hays County District Attorney for a presentation to a Grand Jury; Mann was then charged with Criminal Negligent Homicide.
Mann’s bond has been set at $4,000.
