The new space will feature the same beloved menu from its Dallas and Plano locations
Katy Trail Ice House, a favorite for casual dining and craft beers in Dallas and Plano, is bringing its largest Dallas-Fort Worth location to Allen. Groundbreaking is scheduled for 2026 on a two-acre, tree-filled site along SH 121 near Rowlett Creek.
Spanning over two acres, the patio space will be even larger than the Uptown Dallas location. Guests can enjoy the signature menu, three BBQ smokers and 50 beers on tap, all in a lush, dog-friendly setting with direct access to local hike-and-bike trails.
A Menu Guests Already Love
Katy Trail Allen will anchor The Ranch, a 10-acre, nature-focused office and retail campus along SH 121 at Exchange Parkway. The development features hike-and-bike connections and on-site dining, designed to create a work-friendly, amenity-rich environment for nearby office tenants. Houston-based developer Hines has also signed on to build two office buildings adjacent to the restaurant, enhancing the campus vibe.
The Katy Trail Ice House Ranch will offer the signature menu guests know and love, including bestsellers like the hangover burger and summer beer, with three smokers serving up barbecue favorites. The 50-beer lineup and expansive patio make it a perfect spot to enjoy the outdoors, whether stopping by after work or gathering with friends and family.
Part Of A Growing DFW Brand
This Allen location marks the brand’s third in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and its largest yet. Positioned within a vibrant, amenity-rich campus, the Katy Trail Ice House Ranch aims to combine casual dining, craft beverages and outdoor hospitality into an elevated, community-focused experience.
