HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A former Houston car salesman is accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from more than a dozen customers. According to court documents, he is wanted for an aggregate theft charge.

The crime allegedly happened while he worked at Fredy Kia off the Gulf Freeway. ABC13 is told the dealership is now under new management as of a few months ago.

The man officials say is wanted for this is 67-year-old Emil Conrad Parker.

Online records show Parker has had 20 convictions since 1982 that are mostly theft-related. He’s been sentenced to more than 60 years in prison combined.

In this most recent case, court documents show he’s accused of lying to 14 people and stealing a combined $68,700 from them.

It allegedly happened between August 2024 to February 2025 while working as a car salesman for Fredy Kia.

According to court documents, he would promise to fix people’s bad credit through a program at the dealership. He would allegedly ask them for cash to fix their credit and promise to get them the car they wanted.

In the following days, court documents said he would contact the customers asking for more money to cover taxes, title, and vehicle registration fees. According to court documents, months would go by, and customers claimed he would ignore their attempts to contact him.

People reported losing anywhere from $1,100 all the way up to $15,000.

According to court documents, a sales manager claimed Parker was fired after they found out what was going on.

Court documents show that it wasn’t the first dealership Parker’s worked at. They claimed he was at Cowboy Kia in Conroe before.

It’s unclear if the dealerships did a background check when Parker was hired or filed a police report when finding out about the theft. ABC13 has reached out for comment, but hasn’t heard back.
