Driver remains at scene, cooperates with police
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A 14-year-old is in critical condition after being struck by a car on Highway 6 Saturday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 11:15 p.m. near Highway 6 and Pebble Lake Drive in northwest Harris County.
At the scene, HCSO Sgt. Ben Troyer said a Jeep Wrangler was driving on Highway 6 when a 14-year-old male riding a bicycle attempted to cross the road. The teen was then struck by the vehicle.
Troyer said the driver remained on scene and cooperated with officers. The driver showed no signs of intoxication.
The 14-year-old was airlifted to the hospital where authorities say he’s in critical condition at last check.
