After its loss to No. 11 Nebraska at this past weekend’s UTSA Invitational, Texas softball dropped from its spot atop the National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll to No. 2 in the latest rankings.

Texas makes its home debut against Abilene Christian Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Bevo Classic. The Longhorns will also face Ohio State, Syracuse and Northern Illinois in this week’s action at McCombs Field.
