Winter is still with us here on the South Plains, but it sure doesn’t feel like it. And the rest of this week won’t feel like winter either expect possibly for a few hours on Sunday morning.

Rain Along With Up and Down Temperatures The Rest of The Week

If you are looking forward to the rest of this week, you might really enjoy the forecast. On Tuesday, temperatures are expected to top out at about 61 degrees and a slight chance of scattered rain showers during the day.

The rest of this week in the Lubbock area, temperatures are expected to be in the mid-60’s on Wednesday, then on Thursday temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70’s. On Saturday expect a slight chill in the air according to KAMC as high’s will be in the mid to upper 50’s then a slight warm up on Sunday.

Rain chances will increase as well this week. According to KAMC, the Lubbock area has a good chance of seeing rain on Friday afternoon and Saturday.

While the forecast could still change, the chances of seeing rain look pretty good for our area which is great because we could use it.
