Houston police said two women were hit and killed by a red sedan early Wednesday on Cullen Boulevard in Sunnyside, and the driver never stopped.
HOUSTON — Houston police are searching for the driver of a red sedan after two women were hit and killed early Wednesday morning in the city’s Sunnyside community.
Investigators said it happened around 3:35 a.m. on Cullen Boulevard between Bellfort Avenue and Reed Road. Surveillance video shows the moments leading up to the tragedy.
In the clip, one woman approaches another in the street and begins swinging. The two then start fighting and wrestling in the southbound lanes. Moments later, headlights appear — and what happens next is devastating.
Police said a driver in a red sedan hit both women and ran over them, killing them at the scene before driving off.
According to HPD, the altercation between the women began in a nearby parking lot before spilling into the street.
