FORT WORTH – Leaman Fulton Feeler, 78, passed away on February 2, 2026. Leaman was born on May 23, 1947, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Dewey Feeler and Estelle Feeler. Born Leaman Fulton Feeler, he later went by Chuds, a name known and loved by many throughout his life. Leaman began his working years as a barber, a profession that suited his friendly nature. After many years behind the chair, he went on to work for General Dynamics, now known as Lockheed Martin, where he remained until his retirement. The greatest joy of Leaman’s life was his marriage to Melinda Wilson Hale, the love of his life. Together, they built a life full of laughter, travel, and meaningful friendships. They loved exploring new places, making friends wherever they went, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. Some of their favorite moments were spent going to Fred’s, relaxing at the apartment pool with friends, listening to their treasured record collection, and occasionally dancing to the music they loved. Leaman lived a full and special life, rich in love, friendship, and shared experiences. He will be remembered for his warmth and the deep love he had for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melinda “Moe” Feeler; and his parents, Estelle Adell Feeler and Dewey Leaman Feeler. He is survived by his children and family, Shannon Finstead and her husband, Mike; Shawn Godfrey and her husband, Buddy Walker Hale; and Joe Hale and his wife, Jennifer. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Cody Cook, Cassidy Burke, Kyle Tedder, Briehaunna Chester, Jazmine Hale, Jadie Hale and Everett Hale; and 13 great grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Sceleda and her husband, Jim Marley. Leaman will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
