HOUSTON (KLTV) – West Rusk’s Calvin Mason broke his own program record for LeTourneau at the FasTrak Collegiate Classic in Houston on Saturday.
The junior broke the program record in the weight throw.
Mason placed third with a throw of 16.27 meters (53 feet, 4.5 inches), breaking his record for the second time this season. His mark now sits third overall in the West Region this season. Mason placed sixth in the shot put with a throw of 15.24 meters (50 feet).
White Oak’s Colton Fears finished sixth in the pole vault with a height of 4.30 meters (14 feet, 1.25 inches). Tyler Grace’s Grayson Gaddis finished 11th in the mile with a season-best and personal record of 4:26.90.
LeTourneau will compete at the Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic on Friday and Saturday in Pittsburg, Kansas.
