The Rangers will lean hard into tried-and-true hits on their 38-game promotional schedule: Bloody Nolan Ryan and bobbleheads.

Also, the club will try to create more demand for the giveaways by limiting most of them to the first 10,000 fans at Globe Life Field. It’s way to encourage fans to get to the park early, which likely means more pre-game spending.

Don’t worry, though, about an item that’s likely to be extremely popular – the Nolan Ryan bloody lip jersey. The Rangers will give all fans in attendance on May 29 when the team hosts Kansas City a replica of the jersey complete with replica (we hope) blood stains. It’s a tribute to the night Ryan took a hard bouncer from Bo Jackson off his lip in 1990 and finished his night pitching in a blood-smeared jersey. The only other giveaway not limited to 10,000 fans is the magnetic schedule on the April 3 home opener. The first 30,000 fans in attendance will receive the key chain.

The Rangers will also celebrate Ryan’s fisticuffs with Robin Ventura by giving away a Nolan Ryan “punching” bobblehead on July 20. The figurine is not, however, expected to include any depiction of Ventura, which will be quite the trick.

The bobblehead is one of 16 scheduled bobblehead giveaways over the course of the season, setting a franchise record for most bobblehead giveaways in a season, according to the Rangers (and we will take their word for it). Among those featured on bobbleheads: Wyatt Langford sliding for a ball (July 9), Brandon Nimmo on a bull (June 7), Pudge Rodriguez on a baseball card (April 22), Nathan Eovaldi as a flying ace (Sept. 16), a retro ceramic bobblehead (April 8) and Big Tex (Sept. 19).

The Rangers also have 22 other wearable and collectible giveaway dates scheduled with items ranging from the bloody Ryan jersey and a hockey sweater (May 25) to a Rangers Captain plushy key chain (June 5) and a global soccer scarf as a tribute to the World Cup (July 5).

The promotional items should not be confused with theme night items. For theme nights, fans can purchase a higher-priced ticket to receive the extra amenity. Among the items scheduled as theme night amenities is a Pablo Sanchez bobblehead as part of a Backyard Baseball night (July 8), celebrating the legendary video game and an Evan Carter as Harry Potter bobblehead on June 26.

The Rangers will have more than 70 community and theme nights during the 81-date home schedule. More information on those nights will be available at Texasrangers.com/themenights. The Rangers are expected to release the full schedule of theme and community nights on Wednesday.
