A Fire Engine responds to the scene of an emergency.
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Fire Department is investigating what is being called a ‘suspicious’ fire on the East Side.
The call went out just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night, and when crews arrived in the 500 block Blue Bonnet Street they were met by heavy flames and smoke pouring out of the back of a house. After the fire was knocked down, firefighters found two empty gas cans on the side of the house, although it was not confirmed if they had played a role in the fire.
Investigators say the home was unoccupied and had electricity, but no gas service.
Arson investigators may get involved if it is found the fire was set on purpose. The home was reportedly up for sale.
