Motel parking lot ‘disturbance’ led to fatal shooting, Fort Worth Police say

One person is dead after a disturbance in a motel parking lot, Fort Worth Police say.

Officers responded to a shooting call just after 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 5800 block of East Lancaster Avenue, the Fort Worth Police Department said in a press release.

Crews found one adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. The Fort Worth Fire Department began life-saving measures; however, the victim died on scene, officers say.

Witnesses on scene told detectives that two men were in the parking lot of a motel when a disturbance occurred and the suspect shot the victim.

No arrests have been made and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the identification of the victim. Police are investigating the incident.
