Tuesday’s weather should be similar to this past weekend’s, but rain showers are possible by evening.

The high is 77 degrees for DFW International Airport, a few degrees down from the low 80s seen Sunday and Monday. The skies are forecast to be mostly cloudy, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, as the rain moves in. The chance of showers should be around 30% for the entire region on Tuesday night.

A mild cold front is expected to move in behind the rain, dropping the forecasted high down to 71 degrees on Wednesday before quickly bouncing back up to 80 degrees on Thursday. Heavier rain and temperatures in the 60s are expected for this weekend.

Normal temperatures for mid-February, calculated as 30-year averages, would usually be closer to 60 degrees. While this weekend’s cooler temperatures will still be above normal, they are expected to be closer to the average than much of last week.
