CANUTILLO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 49-year-old man was arrested Sunday after deputies found drugs inside a vehicle in Canutillo.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Troy Dean Hall was arrested after he allegedly admitted that the methamphetamine and marijuana found in his vehicle were his.

Deputies first found the vehicle at the 7100 block of Doniphan Drive.

Deputies described talking to Hall, who was behind the wheel, and to a passenger, adding that they could see drug paraphernalia inside the car.

As a result, deputies searched the vehicle and reported finding approximately 9.5 grams of meth and 0.94 ounces of marijuana.

Jail records show that Hall was booked into the El Paso County Downtown Jail, where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance and marijuana possession with a bond set at $5,100.

According to jail records, Hall remains in jail as of Monday afternoon.
