TAYLOR, Texas — A third-party contractor has died at the Samsung plant in Taylor on Wednesday, company officials confirmed.
In a statement, Samsung spokesperson Michael Glaze said the company is “deeply saddened that a third-party contractor with OneClass/Shinsung G&A passed away at our Taylor campus.”
Emergency responders from the site and the surrounding community arrived quickly and took action, according to Samsung. Additional details about what led to the death have not been released.

“Samsung, and all on-site parties, are cooperating fully with local authorities and regulatory agencies as they conduct a thorough investigation into what happened,” the statement said.
The company emphasized that safety is its highest priority and that it is committed to understanding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“Out of respect for the family and the integrity of the investigation, we are not able to share additional details at this time,” the statement continued.
Samsung said it will continue to provide support to employees and the broader workplace community and extended its “deepest condolences to all who are grieving this loss.”
No additional details have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
