We’d rather do this than wait for a table at an over-booked restaurant.

Love will be in the air and also in the pit at Dallas venues this Valentine’s Day. With the romantic holiday falling on a Saturday this year, the options for a less conventional celebration seem endless.
That’s where we come in. We have combed the internet, clicked through the schedules of storied venues and done our time in the trenches of Ticketmaster to search for shows that seem worthy of your (and your significant other’s) while.
Some shows on this list were custom-built for Valentine’s Day date nights, while others just happen to fall on Feb. 14. It doesn’t have to be a day dedicated to love to express yours for music, though. Still, there’s something for every ear this Valentine’s Day.
Summer Dean at Windmills Craftworks
Show starts at 8:00 p.m.
Singer/songwriter Summer Dean is bringing her soulful brand of musical storytelling to Windmills Craftworks. If you want Texas twang, sterling vocals and good, clean guitarwork to feature prominently on the soundtrack of your date night, Dean’s your girl. If you don’t want to worry about cooking, for $120 you can pair the show with a “chef-curated three-course meal.” Dinner and a show never steered us wrong.
Tchaikovsky & Rachmaninoff at Dallas Symphony Orchestra
Show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Maybe you’re seeking a more elevated evening out to show your partner how much you love them. That’s why we have the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, featuring a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances. These classic pieces will be accompanied by Melissa White performing the world premiere of Sophia Jani’s Violin Concerto. Ooh, la, la.
Jambaloo Shows at Various Venues
Showtimes vary
The best things in life are free — love, yes, but especially concerts. Jambaloo exists “to uplift the DFW music community,” and this year it takes place from Feb. 7 – 15 in partnership with Amplified Minds. This is a great option for Valentine’s Day for two reasons: 1.) shows are free to attend as long as you RSVP; and 2.) there are multiple shows taking place Feb. 14 across Deep Ellum Art Co., Manhattan Project, AM/FM, The Plaza and Club Dada. There are 13 artists currently on the lineup that day, promising an eclectic collection of musical stylings in beloved local venues.
Los Tigres Del Norte at American Airlines Center
Show starts at 8:00 p.m.
If music from Dallas-based artists isn’t expansive enough for you, that’s fine (but also check yourself). Beloved Grammy-winning norteño band Los Tigres Del Norte will take over the American Airlines Center on V-Day, bringing authentic Mexican flair to Dallas. After decades in the business, Los Tigres Del Norte have cultivated a devoted following, built a deep catalog and know how to put on a great show. Spanish is technically a Romance language, so let it do its thing.
Chef Dee and the Taste Experience at Revelers Hall
Show starts at 8:00 p.m.
After a tough 2025, Revelers Hall is still mixing it up and crafting musical memories in one of Dallas’ most vibrant neighborhoods. Valentine’s Day is no different, as the Bishop Arts favorite is hosting a one-two punch of R&B magic. The venue invites guests to “pre-game” with Tricky Weather at 5:00 p.m. before Chef Dee and the Taste Experience come out to wow audiences with their signature blend of musical genres. Support a local business, knock back a couple of cocktails and lose yourself to the beat at a Dallas institution.
Ricki Derek and the Vegas Six at Granada Theater
Show starts at 8:00 p.m.
The Rat Pack may be gone, but Ricki Derek and the Vegas Six are keeping their spirit alive and well. They’ll be crooning at Granada for a special Valentine’s Day show, accompanied by comedian Dean Lewis. Whether you prefer Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin, Derek and his crew can scratch that itch.
Opeth at The Bomb Factory
Show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Is metal romantic? We couldn’t possibly say. But sometimes you just want to headbang next to your favorite person in the entire world while Europeans shout and play music on stage. Thankfully, the Bomb Factory is bringing Swedish progressive metal band Opeth in for Valentine’s Day, all but guaranteeing a good time for local lovers looking to worship at the altar of rock. Just make sure you mosh with love in your heart.
