SAN ANTONIO – Authorities are investigating the discovery of a body underneath a Northeast Side bridge on Thursday morning.
The man’s body was discovered by construction workers just after 6:30 a.m. under a bridge off North Loop 1604 East near the Redland Road onramp.
Homicide investigators are treating the case as a suspicious death. Police said the man was not affiliated with the construction crew or company at the site and has not been identified.
Officials have not determined the cause of death and said it is unclear whether it was self-inflicted, accidental, or the result of foul play. The victim did not appear to have any identification on him.
Investigators are examining the scene to determine how the man ended up under the bridge.
