A rug company in New York — with a connection to Peloton’s founding — just opened its newest showroom in Dallas.
Ernesta recently opened the spot near Preston Road and Royal Lane, and it’s just the sixth such site in the country, according to the company. The company, founded in 2022, offers custom rugs down to the inch in as little as two weeks.
“Dallas felt like a natural next step for Ernesta as we continue to expand our physical retail footprint in design-forward markets across the country,” said Jennifer Parker, chief sales officer of Ernesta, in an email. “Opening our first Texas showroom allows us to connect with a city that has a deeply rooted design community, a strong appreciation for craftsmanship, and a growing desire for highly customizable, high-quality home furnishings.”
The rugs start as low as $275 for a five-foot-by-five-foot version, but run into five figures for very large sizes.

The founders behind Ernesta came with experience from Peloton, where they were at the well-known exercise equipment firm. The rug company’s founders include John Foley, CEO, along with Hisao Kushi, chief legal officer, and Yony Feng, chief technology officer.
The Dallas location covers over 1,200 square feet. It joins other Ernesta locations in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Maryland, Connecticut, New Jersey and Michigan. There are plans for another store in New York with Manhasset in the spring as part of efforts to bring the total number to 10 in 2026.
“In Dallas, visitors can explore our range of custom-sized rugs in person, work one-on-one with our team in the design lounge, and review samples, sizing, materials, and styles together,” Parker said. “It’s a space designed to give both homeowners and professionals the chance to see, feel, and experience the assortment before placing an order.”
