Primark is doubling its presence in Texas this year — but Austinites shouldn’t plan a shopping spree just yet.
Primark is known for its trendy clothing options, everyday essentials, beauty products and affordable housewares.
The Katy and Grapevine stores will span 39,400 and 42,800 square feet, respectively. Both have a smaller footprint than the McAllen and El Paso locations, which are both closer to 50,000 square feet.
Primark is hiring retail employees to fill full- and part-time roles at both the Austin locations.
Filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation reveal plans for further Texas expansion.
Primark currently operates more than 450 stores globally. In the U.S., it operates 36 stores in 13 states. Its heaviest U.S. concentration is in the Northeast and New England.
