ABILENE, Texas — For decades, the West Texas Rehab Center has helped families across the Big Country begin their road to recovery.
Now, the center is moving forward with a major expansion, breaking ground on a new facility designed to broaden care for years to come.

The project will replace the current 80,000-square-foot building with a 133,000-square-foot facility on the south side of Abilene, addressing what the rehab center describes as a pressing need to expand.
The estimated $87 million project will include expanded therapy areas and space intended to allow for future growth.
