The Ohio rock group behind “Lonely Boy” and “Tighten Up,” among other hits, has announced a 2026 world tour coinciding with their upcoming album.
SAN ANTONIO — The Black Keys, the Grammy-winning group anchored by by rockers Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, is bringing their summer tour to Texas, capitalizing on the upcoming release of their upcoming album “Peaches!”
The aptly named “Peaches ‘n Kream World Tour” gets underway April in Florida before coming to the Lone Star State, where they’ll perform in Dallas, Houston and New Braunfels’ Whitewater Amphitheater, which has a capacity of more than 5,000. Tickets for the New Braunfels show, scheduled for July 25, will go on general sale Friday.Â
Auerbach and Carney formed The Black Keys 25 years ago in Ohio before going on to release a consistent stream of blues and garage rock efforts. Their breakthrough came with 2011’s barnstorming album “Brothers,” which won the band its first two Grammys.Â
The follow-up, “El Camino,” took them to a higher peak, reaching No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard charts and winning The Black Keys another three Grammys. That haul included trophies for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for “Lonely Boy,” as well as Best Rock Album.Â
The prolific group hasn’t slowed down, having continued to rack up Grammy nominations while rarely taking an extended break. “Peaches!” releases on May 1.Â
The group will also take the stage at Dallas’ Bomb Factory on July 23 and Houston’s The Lawn at White Oak Music Hall on July 24. All three Texas shows will see The Black Keys joined by Eddie 9V.Â
