FORT WORTH – Rolando was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, on May 9,1963, son to Antonio Salinas and Ascencion Lopez. He was one out of 11 brothers and sisters. Rolando fought bladder cancer starting back in 2019, until he passed away on February 8, 2026, in the comfort of his home, where he was surrounded by his loved ones. Rolando was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters, him being the first male sibling to part from this world. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Noelia Salinas. From their marriage, they were blessed with a total of 10 children, listed here from oldest to youngest; Rolando Jr., Emmanuel, Luisana, Angelica, Alejandro, Brenda, Gloria, Ruby, Jonathan, and Paulina. Eight out of the 10 later blessed them with 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. He devoted time to his family, who he loved deeply and enjoyed making memories with when he could. Some of his family and friends will forever remember him as “Mr. Miyagi”. Rolando was a hardworking man and a devoted Christian. He was a strong believer in GOD and left this world happy knowing he accomplished the LORD’s will. Rolando attended Everman Church of Christ for over 25 years, where he served as a Deacon for majority of his time, until becoming Elder of the church. He was deeply loved by all the brothers and sisters from the congregation. Rolando will be dearly missed and forever remembered. He was a man you could go to for advice and comfort. He was always willing to help where needed and didn’t hesitate to lend a helping hand. He leaves behind a great example of a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend; but most of all, a great follower of Christ. A visitation will take place on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite A, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Everman Church of Christ, 1020 Townley Dr. Fort Worth, Texas 76140. An entombment will follow in Greenwood Mausoleum, 3210 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
