Our Man in Vietnam
Our Man in Vietnam is on view now through April 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at UTA Special Collections on the sixth floor of the Central Library. The exhibit highlights the groundbreaking work of Bob Schieffer, featuring his photographs, letters, and painted portraits that tell the personal stories of Texas service members during the Vietnam War, marking his first Texas exhibition of this material.Â
Great Backyard Bird Count
Grab your binoculars and flock to River Legacy Nature Center for the Great Backyard Bird Count on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Enjoy guided family walks, hands-on activities, DIY bird feeders, and a live bird presentation, all while helping scientists track birds around the world. Whether you’re a first-time birder or a seasoned pro, this free, family-friendly event turns birdwatching into a fun adventure that truly makes a difference.
Canines & Coffee
Start your Saturday with wagging tails and warm brews at Canines & Coffee. Held the second Saturday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Downtown Arlington Doggie Depot. This free, dog-friendly gathering invites pups and their people to socialize, sip coffee from local pop-up shops, and enjoy the fresh air.
Sounds of the Season: Winter Concert
Enjoy an evening of music at Sounds of the Season: Winter Concert on Sunday, Feb. 15 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Lamar Baptist Church. The Arlington Community Band will present a free, family-friendly performance featuring winter-inspired selections by Frank Ticheli, John Philip Sousa, George and Ira Gershwin, and more.
