A Golden Fan Cup sold Saturday at La Palmera Mall Chick-fil-A means one Corpus Christi customer will receive free Chick-fil-A for a year.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A lucky Chick-fil-A customer in Corpus Christi is set to enjoy free food for the next year after purchasing a rare Golden Fan Cup at La Palmera Mall location over the weekend.

Assistant Manager Veronica Vasquez told 3NEWS that one of the promotional cups was sold last Saturday, Feb. 7, by a member of their team, making the customer eligible to redeem the grand prize of free Chick-fil-A for a year.

The Golden Fan Cup is part of Chick-fil-A’s yearlong 80th anniversary celebration, which launched Jan. 5 and includes a nationwide sweepstakes tied to a series of retro-inspired collectible drink cups.

Guests who purchase one of the $3.99 Classic Cups may randomly receive the specialty Golden Fan Cup design. Winners can redeem the cup for a year of free Chick-fil-A, which includes regular menu items such as the Original Chicken Sandwich.

Restaurant staff say the promotion is still underway, with additional opportunities to win available both in-store and online through qualifying purchases of participating cup bundles.

New retro cup designs are expected to roll out throughout the celebration, with the final cup scheduled to be released Feb. 23, while supplies last.

Chick-fil-A plans to continue anniversary-themed promotions throughout 2026, including limited-time packaging, new menu additions such as Frosted Sodas and Floats, and specialty merchandise tied to the brand’s “Newstalgia” campaign.
