A one-of-a-kind hard rock/metal music festival is coming to Fort Worth: Sick New World, which until now has only taken place in Las Vegas, will put on its inaugural edition in Fort Worth at Texas Motor Speedway on October 24, 2026.
The festival will feature performances from more than 50 hard rock and metal bands, headlined by System of a Down, Deftones, Slayer, Evanescence, Marilyn Manson, The Prodigy, Mastodon, Clutch, Failure, the Melvins, and more.
The lineup at the Las Vegas show, which takes place six months earlier on April 25, will feature many, but not all, of the same bands.
Sick New World debuted in May 2023 on four stages at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, with headliner System of a Down, drawing roughly 85,000 attendees. It returned in 2024, but a third edition scheduled for 2025 was canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances”; according to AOL, the event’s former booker overpaid the headliners millions of dollars.
Now it’s back, with a Fort Worth spinoff.
The festival is presented by the company C3 Presents, which puts on over 30 big festivals around the world, including the Austin City Limits Music Festival, Sips & Sounds Music Festival in Austin, and Two Step Inn in Georgetown. While there’s no information on why the festival was spun off to Fort Worth, C3’s heavy presence in Texas may be a factor.
The event has multiple ticket options, starting at $300 for GA.
